MES raises awareness on the prevention of bullying

OCTOBER IS NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH!

This month we are raising awareness on the prevention of bullying with our 3rd and 4th grade students. One of the activities for this month is our Bullying Prevention Poster Contest! The theme of this contest is STOMP OUT BULLYING. The poster should reflect ways that students can help prevent bullying from happening. The criteria is as follows:
 
1. Only 3rd and 4th grade students can participate.
2. Posters must incorporate creative and original artwork and ideas. Pictures can be drawn or printed.
3. Posters should deliver a clear and positive message about preventing bullying.
4. Posters should contain proper spelling and grammar.
5. Posters must be no larger than standard poster board size (22”X28”) and no smaller than 8 ½”X11”. NO Tri-fold posters.
6. Students may used a variety of media, such as watercolor, pen and ink, crayon, chalk, markers, etc.
7. Students may not work in pairs.
8. DO NOT WRITE NAMES ON THE FRONT OF POSTER.
 
There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize winner. Posters will be judged on artistry, creativity, originality, and ability to communicate a clear and positive message on how to prevent bullying. We would love for every student to participate as we bring awareness to bullying prevention.
 
Deadline for Submission is: October 26, 2018. Winners will be announced on October 31.
