Nurse's Corner
Welcome to the Nurse's Corner! The mission of Health Services at Morton Elementary is to provide quality health services and education to the students. The nurse's corner plans to serve as a valuable tool to supporting the physical, emotional, mental, and social health of students.
If you need to see the school nurse for a non-emergency (drop off medication, submit documents, or discuss your child, etc.) please make an appointment with Nurse Lee by calling 601-732-8529.
STUDENTS SHOULD STAY AT HOME: | STUDENTS CAN RETURN TO SCHOOL: |
undiagnosed rash
|
no fever for 24 hours with no fever reducing medication
|
persistent cough or head lice
|
no vomitting and/or diarrhea for 12 hours
|
Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
|
if being treated for "pink eye" - must have antibiotic drops for 24 hours and have no drainage from the infected eye
|
Complains of severe earache, with or without fever or severe throat with symptoms indicating possible strep throat
|
if being treated for strep infection must be on antibiotics at least 24 hours
|
one or more episodes of diarrhea
|
when the clinic has provided you with instructions on returning to school. (Please always remember to bring a note if you went to see medical personnel prior to returning to school)
|
fever of 100.5 degrees or more
|
All medication, including over-the-counter medication requires a physician's order and a medication permission form. Please see your school nurse for these forms.
